Burberry Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick in Brick Red

Hi everyone! Brick Red ($30 for 0.13 oz) is a muted, warm, brownish red. This is the perfect red for someone who's scared of a bright red. It's everything I hoped it would be; pigmented, true brick, long wearing. As you can tell by the swatch it's very moisturizing.

Burberry Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick in Union Red

Hi everyone! I got a Burberry haul in the mail today. I'm so ecstatic because everything is so lush and beautiful. I wont show everything at once because a lady doesn't show everything right away, so you'll just have to wait. ;P Union Red ($30 for 0.13 oz) is a stunning vampire red; I assure you this is the most appropriate description for this lovely red. It's bright and with ever so slight shimmer. I don't know what the point of it is since I don't see the shimmer on my lips. Formula is moisturizing and opaque with slight aroma. Love the finish, slightly creamy without being uber shiny and driving me nuts.  Packaging is absolutely exquisite from the tube to the box (you have to feel the box to know what I mean). Tube is magnetic, never seen anything like it in a l/s! Just snaps together. I have a feeling I'm gonna be wearing this often.

Included the above pic so you could see how my camera has been freaking out . Turns everything pink.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Red Taboo 18

Hi everyone! Red Taboo ($34 for 0.12 oz) is a blue based dark red. Finish is creamy and moisturizing. Nicely pigmented and lasts a few hours before having to reapply. I do have to reapply after I eat, however, which is always the case for me with any cream l/s. Fruity and I love how it tastes/smells. Unfortunately I'm allergic to something in this. I don't know what but it burns like a mo' fo' for a few minutes, like I have hot sauce on my lips. BUT I don't currrr, I love this l/s. I only have this issue with this shade though, I have Red Muse as well and It doesn't burn.

See why I put up with the burn?

MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist Intense Mat 8

Mat 8 ($19 for 0.12 oz) is a very sexy, very matte bright blue based red. Similar in dryness to Ruby Woo, but glides a tad bit easier and with much more lasting power and much more pigmentation. According to their ad in Sephora's Spring catalog, MUFE Rouge Artist Intense l/s contain 50% more pigment than traditional l/s, and I can say it is totally true. Lasting power of this is just nuts. I can put it on and go on about my day without worrying about touch ups.

ROAK

This truly is the definition of ROAK. The kindest act of kindness. I got *the* most amazing package filled with vintage red l/s today from a very very kind and generous lady, just lovely! I wont mention her name because I'm not sure if she would mind. She sent me 2 Paloma Picasso l/s from the 80's and 11 CHANEL Rouge a Levres from 80s and 90s! Sonia heaven! I'm overwhelmed with joy!

They're all new!

Look at all that beauty! This makes me a very happy little Sonia. Paloma Picasso's packaging is so luxe!
I loveeee all these l/s, thank you SOOOO much!!!
On a side note: I'll be MIA for the next week. In laws are coming to visit and we're going to be busy busy busy! I will check my email though; so in case you're all like "WHAT'LL I DO TILL SHE GETS BACK?? HOW WILL I SURVIVE?? I WONT EAT TILL SHE GETS BACK" you can email me.:) In all fairness though, these pics make up for all the time I'll miss! Hugs all around!

MAKE UP FOR EVER Rouge Artist Intense #45

MAKE UP FOR EVER #45 ($19 for 0.12 oz) is a beyond gorgeous raspberry red. Sounds tdf right? Well it is! Not only is the color too stunning for words, the formula is so good it should be illegal. It seriously glides on like a dream and goes on *very* pigmented with zero signs of sheerness anywhere. It wear ridiculously well, too. I applied it in the morning, then went out for dim sum around 1pm and FEASTED. After we ate I went to reapply thinking there's no way i'd have anything left after all that food, to my surprise it was all still there intact. No huay! Definitely the best formula ever IME. Moisturizing, satin finish that I like so much I don't even blot, and smells pretty. I can't wait to get the rest of their reds. There's four more I need to get. Here's the food which it stayed put through. It was for just 2 people btw:

MSG allergy was going strong after, but it was worth it!

It actually outlived all of that! Now THAT'S a lipstick. Onto the swatch. *WARNING* This swatch is NSFW.

NSFW cause the color is too sexy! *covers eyes*

Moulin Rouge ($19 for 0.12 oz) is a gorgeous neutral red with a satin finish. Very cream, moisturizing, and opaque. The packaging is sexy and goes perfect with the name, love it! I don't know why I didn't pick this up sooner, but better late than never.;) MAKE UP FOR EVER makes great l/s, they don't play! They know what they're doing! Dany Sanz is a genius. They make lots of reds, which makes me a happy little Sonia.

I have more MUFE reds coming up, so stay tuned! Thanks for reading! :)

Besame lipstick samples

Ladies, ladies, ladies. I have the most delicious package to share with you. WAIT, that sounded wrong.. o_O I got the prettiest package in the mail today! If my lovely post office hadn't held it for a couple days I would have had this up sooner for you. But here it is! Six samples of their reds (for $8.00, full sizes are $22.00)! Dream come true for Sonia! According to the site it's enough product for 4 applications. Colors it came with are Red Velvet, Carmine, Red Hot Red, Besame Red, Merlot, and Cherry Red. Came with a gorgeous post card that has descriptions of all of them on the back and with a 20% off coupon. It was for a limited time, very limited I guess cause now I can't find it anywhere to link it. :((( Here's how they came packaged:

So gorgeous!

At first glance it looks like it a solid piece of lipstick, but actually the top part is shaped like a l/s and is covered with it.

Sorry for the light swatches, I didn't wanna use up too much. :)

I love them! I must say, they make some bad@ss reds. The only one I wouldn't wear is Merlot, I'm not into such dark reds/wine. I can't pick which ones the prettiest, it's sooo tough. Which is why i'll end up getting them all, except Merlot of course. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, they smell just like MAC l/s, with that light vanilla scent. OK i'm gonna stop talking now so I can post faster and you can ooo and aaa!

Chanel Rouge Coco in Paris

Hi everyone! Paris ($32 for 0.12 oz) is a delicious, delicious blue based red with a little pink throw in. But on me it's a straight up blue red.Truly luxurious; from the formula to the packaging. Verrrryyy long lasting! Here is the list of stuff I ate and drank today and stayed put through (please don't judge me lmao, I can put it away):

Homemade strawberry, banana, and blueberry juice
Ceasar salad
Cold Stone fudge chocolate ice cream cake, BE JELUZ.
Cup of green tea
Then...I went to Pets Mart and took a little break from all the goodies.
BUT WHEN I GOT BACK...
Butternut squash soup
THREE, yes, THREE slices from a huge sub sandwich
Acai juice from Naked
Naked Power-C machine

And THEN I had to retouch. But it was after all that. Fabulous!

Texture: Creamy and pigmented, glides like buttah.

Packaging: Very sturdy and heavy, which is how I like it. If i'm gonna pay $32 for a l/s the packaging better be flippin' awesome. I believe it's made of metal (the black part, gold part is metal) but i'm not 100% sure. Could just be very thick sturdy plastic like their normal packaging. But i'm hoping its metal.

Btw, wanna give a shout out to Biglow for making a mean vanilla chai tea that I cannot get enough of, *sips*. Totally random, I know, but that's how I roll. ;)

Thanks checking out this post! :)

Have you heard? Red is the word!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a great weekend! :) Here's my little stash of red glosses. I don't normally like gloss so I don't have too many. These are the only ones I like. They are L-R Carmindy Juicy Cherry (sheer and shimmery), Avon Cherry Liquor (pigmented brown red, no shimmer), Avon Real Red (very pigmented bright red, no shimmer), Dior Little Red Dress (semi pigmented and shimmery), MAC Wicked Ways (semi pigmented shimmery fuschia red) , and MAC Russian Red (pigmented but not as much as Real Red bright intense blue based red, no shimmer). The one I get the most compliments on when I wear It is Real Red. Everyone always wants to know what's on my lips when I wear this. It's so pigmented/thick that I don't need to put a l/s underneath It and It lasts longer and doesn't evaporate like glosses usually do ime.

Same order as above.

Thanks for looking!! :)

Dior Rouge Dior Favori Red

A red a day keeps the doctor away! Well...At least that's what I think. :P Here's my latest red! Favori Red ($30 for 0.12 oz at, purchased at Sephora) is a pink based cherry red.

Formula: Creamy, very smooth, moisturizing, and glides right on. I barely touched my arm with It to swatch and It went on super pigmented with one swipe and like buttah! Also has a light scent. It's not strong so doesn't really bother me. Scent reminds me of L'Oreal l/s. Id prefer a more vanilla scent or no scent but It's no big deal. As long as It doesn't smell/taste like Avon's "Mega Impact" (quotations cause they are neither mega nor impact, but that's a separate story)  l/s I don't mind It. Feels so light and luxurious on my lips.

Packaging: SEXY and elegant. Outside is made of veryyy smooth sturdy plastic, which is actually good quality and not cheap and thin. Inside tube is metal. Top of the lid has the CD logo on top which looks and is made with the same plastic material as the e/s packaging. Love the little details on It from the CD on top, to engraved logo on the outside to the one on the lipstick itself.

Swatches:

I've been wearing It all day and It hasn't faded at all. Pretty impressive cause I've had many spoonfuls of Nutella. :D

Thanks for looking!
